Swedish massage

Swedish massage is one of the most commonly offered massage techniques. It’s sometimes called a classic massage. The technique aims to promote relaxation by releasing muscle tension.

Swedish massage is gentler than deep tissue massage and better suited for people interested in relaxation and tension relief.

Swedish massage may loosen up tight muscles caused by daily activities such as sitting at the computer or exercising. It can be very helpful for people who hold a lot of tension in certain muscle groups.

Hot Stone Massage

A hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy. It’s used to help you relax and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissues throughout your body.

During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are rubbed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat. Hot massage stones are heated to between 120 and 130 degrees.

I use hot stones in a therapeutic manner to loosen your connective tissues and muscles. Once relaxed from the warmth of the stones, I will use my hands to bring relief to stiff and sore muscles helping to relieve chronic and acute pain, improve circulation, and provide deep relaxation and stress relief.

Reflexology

Reflexology relaxes the entire body to a deep level which helps supports the body’s natural inclination to heal.

Reflexology is the ancient practice of applying pressure with the thumb and fingers to specific parts of the feet based on the philosophy that there are points on the feet that connect to every part of the body. Some reflexologists also work with the hands and the ears.

Along with deep relaxation, reflexology is believed to help stimulate healing in the associated organs, glands, and muscles of the body.

Aromatherapy

The art and science of using essential oils derived from plants, herbs, and flowers to promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, support wellness, and naturally enhance the benefits of massage.

The essential oils can be added to the massage oil or lotion and massaged into the skin. They can also be inhaled directly or through a diffuser enhancing both psychological and physical well-being.

Chair Massage

Designed to promote an overall feeling of well-being by increasing alertness and reducing stress, tension, and aches and pains chair massage is used specifically to relax your muscles and improve movement within the body.

Clients remain fully clothed and seated upright on a specially designed massage chair. The session will be tailored to each client’s specific needs and focused on your back, neck, shoulders, arms, and hands.

Chair massage is the perfect introduction for a massage newbie or for a client that has difficulty lying flat on a massage table.

Sessions can be scheduled from 10 minutes to 30 minutes in length.
